about me

My name is Janet and I am married to a wonderful man and we have nine (yes, nine) children.  We also have 20 grandchildren and are expecting 1 more later in the year.  And I'm only 29!

My husband and I recently returned home from Puebla, Mexico, where we were serving a mission for our Church, so from time to time you'll see pictures of great places in Mexico and references to the Missionaries that we worked with.  We lived there for three years and came to love the people and places of Puebla.  Although we both grew up in California, home for us is in Gilbert, Arizona, and we have come to love the people and the many beautiful places there.

When I was a little girl, I loved playing hopscotch. I loved the way the marker felt in my hand just before I threw it into a square. Here you will find pages (kind of like hopscotch squares) that are filled with things I have discovered, photos that inspire me and projects I enjoy doing. Sewing is a passion of mine and I've been sewing since I was twelve, so you'll find lots of sewing projects here. I also graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's Degree in Clothing Design.  With nine children, I've had a lot of practice and experience making and altering dresses, mending rips and tears, making Halloween costumes and learning some fun decorating ideas.

My son, Bradley, was very helpful in getting this blog up and running.  He is very proficient in all things computer.  He designs web pages and is very good at figuring out how things work.  I will also borrow things from my daughters and sons in this blog because they are all amazing people!  This is a collection of some of the things that I love and want to share with others. I hope you have fun exploring the site and fall in love with some of these things, too!
